Since the beginning of the twenties, Walter O. Runcie subscribes to the Chartered Institute of American Inventors, Washington D.C. and parallel to his photographic work he dedicated himself to carry out inventive tests in order to patent his inventions related to photographic technique and various artifacts for practical use.

Desde inicios de la década del veinte, Walter O. Runcie se suscribe al Chartered Institute of American Inventors, Washington D.C. y paralelamente a su trabajo fotográfico se dedica a realizar pruebas de invención para poder patentar sus inventos relacionados con la técnica fotográfica y diversos artefactos de uso práctico.
